Cappadocia, the Persian name “Kappa Tuchia” which means “The land of beautiful Horses”…Cappadocia offers visitors an extraordinary and lavish banquet of natural wonders that exceed their wildest imaginations. The area is a world famous and popular tourist destination, as it has many areas with unique geological, historic and cultural features. Cappadocia is situated in the middle of Turkey, in central Antolia. The region is mostly known by the three popular towns of Goreme, Urgup and Uchisar. Millions of years ago, Erciyes, Hasan and Güllü mountain volcanic activities of the lava springs during the period, this area of the inner sea dries and fills the resulting pit. The first explosions of the volcanic mountains form a soft layer called tuff with different hardness. At the end of the volcanic activities, natural effects such as wind and rain, as well as the effects of streams, the tuff layers on the surface begin to erode.
